Registration for Cohort 2 of Lasair is now Open

The aim of the programme is to provide Post-Primary Senior Leadership Teams with core skills, key competencies and resources that are significant in the leadership of teaching and learning, towards to improving school and student learning outcomes.
Specifically, it aims to:
- Develop an understanding of effective Teaching and Learning and understand how National and European policy defines effective Teaching and Learning.
- Develop a deep understanding of what instructional leadership is, why it is important and what it looks like.
- Understand how to foster a culture of highly effective Teaching and Learning practices in their school.
- Support seniors leaders in embedding highly effective teaching and learning practices in their schools by developing their skills to lead teaching and learning.
- Share online tools to support Principals and Deputy Principals as instructional leaders.
- Develop a deep understanding of Reflective Practice and the skills to engage in reflective practice.

Venue | Mount Wolseley Hotel, Golf & Spa Resort Tullow, Co. Carlow. |
Cost | The programme fee of €1,550.00 covers the cost of the programme delivery, associated resources and hotel costs for the 3 modules / sessions for the senior management team (Principal & one Deputy Principal) of each participating school. Payment of travel expenses is at the discretion of your own ETB/Board of Management. Travel expenses cannot be claimed from ETBI or NAPD. There is no substitution provided. |
Requirements | The Principal and one Deputy Principal must commit to attending and engaging with all sessions of the programme. |
